This past Sunday was lovely.

The sermon, the fellowship at church, the potluck meal, the children, the conversations – everything was a blessing.

After church, Elise, Ellie and I enjoyed treats in the afternoon, involving meringues, snickerdoodles, cucumber sandwiches (“Lane! Why are there no cucumber sandwiches?”).  Later, Elise pulled out some *special edition Ritter Sport* of the milk chocolate mouse variety, which she had spirited away for some special occasion.  It was actually 3×3 squares, instead of the usual 4×4.  Tasty. :)  All of these pictures were taken with my new camera.  Very exciting.

In the evening, had a sweet family over for games, dessert, fellowship, coloring, laughter, good conversation and leather-crafting.  It was a Nehemiah 8:10 kind of day :)

“Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for    the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
